Hi.
Coming to the point where I need to buy some monitors, and there are many conflicting opinions.
I was just about to order some Wharfedale 8.2's until I read a review from Sound on Sound, which although rated them highly, suggested trying some Alesis M1 Active MKII's. The reviewer said these came out on top - great.
After reading more reviews on the both of these I was starting to consider the MKII's. Then someone suggested some KRK RP5's.
I am nowhere near anywhere where I can try these out for myself so I am having to rely on reviews.
Although the Alesis/Wharfedales were my original choice, the KRK's seem to get some good reviews also.
My room is 11' x 11.5' x 7.5' ( 1.0 x 0.9 x 0.65 ), and I will be doing dance and trance music. Normal bits of furniture ( couple of big wardrobes, bed, dresser... ). Currently own a MS2000R ( if that makes a difference ).
So any suggestions welcome ( don't want to go over £220/£240 ). I'm hoping no other models are thrown into the mix.
