Flailing up a storm.
I'm looking for some ideas to downsize 3-4 low to midgrade tube amps to one flexible amp that does two sounds, and does both well-- or alternately does one sound (clean) well and takes pedals well to get the two sounds. Lets say budget tops out at about $1200 and i would probably shop and play around until I found something used in good shape. Looking for:

Head only, no combo
All tube

Channel 1:
Great ringing clean sound that will get think but not break up too much as it gets louder.

Channel 2:
great distortion that goes from AC\DC to dave davies in you really got me to jack white, not a far range there, but something that can get raw, punchy and saturated, but not into metal land at all.

hopes:
easy to set and get some basic tones without noodling with knobs for 3 days.

Thanks for the help

Laney Lionheart 20 watt true class A all tube 2 channel head

I have one and it is absolutely the best sounding amp I have ever played. It beats my 2 Plexi reissues. I am also a dealer, I can beat any price.
Thanks
Peter
