Hi, I am having some trouble to record with my mics in Cubase 5 my interface is a Yamaha MW12C. I have try the tutorial on YouTube but just does not work . ive had this message popup
"Impossible to reocord audio because the audio input is not active open the Asio DirectX full duplex setup dialog. Make sure that a device is selected in the input ports section and that its check box is activated"
And this message
"st system link has been deactivated because of to many receive errors!"
I am so confused would be very greatful if some one could help me.

Thanks Subway.

switch the driver from directX to ASIO to start with. Devices/Device setup/VST audio system

I don't know anything about the Yamha but check the manufacturers web sight for the most recent ASIO drivers. Install them. Then look in the VST devices window and select it as the ASIO driver. Then in the VST COnnections window setup your ins and outs. If all that goes well you should be able to select the inputs on your audio tracks and record away.
