sennheiser 421n question

weird -- first post disappeared

have an old sennheiser 421 -- tuchel connector -- with a dial at the base, i assume it's a rolloff or a pad. there seem to be two settings on it, marked M and S -- any idea what these are?

S=speech

leave on M for least filtered, put on S for halfway to the " telephone vocal " sound
