Master of the Obvious
The Frequency curve only going down to 90Hz... what's wrong with just boosting the low end. I just picked one up and compared it to a 57 real quick last night. With a little cut on the top and boost at the bottom I got it pretty close to a 57. 57 is richer.
I know it's been stated that they're good for 14" toms and under, but if I use it on a 16", what could boosting the low EQ hurt? I know the "if it sounds OK to you then do it", So I'm kinda looking for a more scientific response. Does boosting something that wasn't actually picked up bring on any ill effect, er something?
With that latest $15 deal, I found 2, decided to check em out... Not bad for $15. Figure they can even be used when more back up vocals are needed for rehearsal.
Thanks,
B.
Anyone know why they discontinued them? Maybe they're going to expand the range.
