I have a small little studio and my reasoning for the choicing the V67G over the C1 and NT1 is based on the fact that in my studio the V67G seems to work for more types of voices than the other two mic's. So if I could only own one of the three mic's, I'd pick the MXL V67G, also it seems to sit in a mix easy it that makes any sense.
Even though I liked the C1 better on the guitar, neither impressed me as a decent acoustic guitar mic. Again, I know nothing about the newer NT1A. Anyone compared the NT1 to the NT1A? I sold the NT1 and kept the C1.When I did my comparison, the C1 was clearly a bit more detailed and open and just plain sat better in the mix. Not hardly a "night and day" thing, but enough for me to know that I probably wouldn’t be using the NT1 as long as I had the C1.PsyCoNo said:I agree with c9, someone needs to compare those together. Also, does anyone own BOTH the C1 and the B1, and IF so, how different do they sound?
Doh! I thought you said the C1 and NT1, but you said the C1 and B1 – sorry! Guess I ought to learn to read before coming to these forums!Flatpicker said:When I did my comparison, the C1 was clearly a bit more detailed and open and just plain sat better in the mix.
