Rode Mics

Some how I have managed to get the impression that the Rode NT1, NT2 and NT3 sound like the less desirable AKG models in the C#K series. Is this the case?

I have a few Rode NT3's and an older NT1, and NT2, and just like with most mic's... they have their moments. Just like with most mic's, sometimes they work good for something and sometimes they don't.

IMHO, the Rode NT-1, NT-2 and NT-3 are FAR SUPERIOR to the poorly designed, "peaky", overly bright AKG C-1000, C-2000 and C-3000.

If you want a good, new, LDC made by AKG, you'll have to look at the 414 series...
