I need opinions about rode microphones. If anybody has one please tell me how they sound.Tonka!

I just bought an NT1.....

I record acoustic guitar with it and so far I am extremely pleased....

I have little to no experience with other brands though...

Good luck

I've got a pair of Rode NT3's. I initially used them for drum overheads, but I find my self reaching for them more and more. Really great sound on guitar cabs and acoustics.

I was in a studio the other day and they miked up my glockenspeil with a pair of NT2's. I was stunned at how good they made a toy instrument sound. fantastic sound.

Im probably going to get an NTK later, when I can afford one. Being an australian, they are nice and cheap over here compared to the imports, and I wont have to worry about the power supply being 110 Volts.

I bought an NT1 a couple of years back, and use it primarily for recording vocals and acoustic guitar. I've been quite happy with it, though I've never used a U87....

I also have an NT1.

I bought it for 199 with no shipping about four months ago so that price looks good. I use it for vox and acoustic guitar.

It's a big jump in quality from a Shure 58 but beware the Chessrock and several others who will tell you the new NT1's suck ass. They'll probably tell you to stop by a store and compare it with a V67b going for under a hundred or try to stretch for a AT4033, available on Ebay for $250.
