Hi...
I've been using Rode's NTK tube mic for a while now and really like it's character on my recordings.
But I've just been given the chance to buy an almost new Rode Classic II for a very good price.
I'm really tempted, especially because it offers switchable patterns, etc.
But I want to know if I'll get the NTK sound plus more if I buy the Classic. I don't really want anything sounding much darker than the NTK and I can't afford to keep both.
Anyone had experience with both mics?
Cheers.
