I just picked up a nice Gotoh bridge for my Tele, but the darn saddle adjustment screws stick up above the saddle and grind into my hand while playing.
It really wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the tearing flesh, blood loss and pain that accompany the grinding sensations.

Anybody know where I can find short replacement screws? Replacing the saddles would cost more than the bridge itself so I'm not too keen on that idea.

Can you take the bottom of the screw off with a benchtop grinder similar to this one?

Don't grind them down.

These screws have to be properly crowned to work right.

I don't know where to get replacements, but I'm sure there are plenty of places. People lose and strip the heads on these things all the time, so the demand's there.

One site had saddles w/short screws "for PRS guitars". But that will cost me another $40. I wonder if the screws from the original saddles will fit?.....

Strat screws come in different lengths. If they fit the holes in your bridge, that's a possible solution.
