Mainly recording my acoustic guitar with a behringer B1 mic, through a behringer mic100 preamp, and goes straight to my mac laptop, i run everything with garage band.

Is it possible to have a decent result with this setup? or an audio interface / soundcard is a must?

I'm looking at echo audiofire 4 or an mbox2 mini should i really have to buy one later, are those any good for mac laptops?

Thanks guys.

can u give us a listen to what you've done/samples thereof, with your current setup FB?...sounds interesting.

You can pretty much bet what the following answers are going to be though....basically, you're going to need more (stuff) to get more....(out of/into your recordings)...um....generally speaking???.

very nice tune FB!!..thankyou for sharing.
I'd suggest to you that it was quite pleasing to my ears, and therefore, I'd like somemore of your stuff, if I could.
I guess you must be doing something right!!!

Superspit.

ps...imagine you with some gear!!!...it'd be worth it, in my humble opinion! :)
