ok ive got this reaper program (reaper vi.33), and i want to know how to change the beats while the song is playing. like im 12 seconds into a song and i want to change the effects, how do i do this? by the way, i only have the demo, thanks all.

fyi the latest version is 1.69, they have quite a few revisions and it's updated all the time.

what do you mean by change beats? what you can do is make a separate track for different parts of the beat, and that way you can apply separate effects to each track for each different beat.

or are you talking about using MIDI? i'm not quite sure exactly what you're asking.



oh and also the demo version of reaper is fully functional, so it's the same as having the full version. pretty nice.

You could also use an automation envelope to bypass/switch on the effect and/or change effect parameters.

It does depend quite what you mean.. but I second the Reaper forum as a good place to ask.
