I finally got my MBox going again... and it just reminded me of how much I hate the PT software interface. I -really- hate it.

Such is life in a world dominated by Digi.

so why use it? there are plenty of other audio sequencer/editor progs out there you know...some of them are even free!

...

Then quit complaining and use something else. ;)

What interface do you like? I like pt personally, but everyone is different.
Part of the reason that I like it is because that's what I learned on, also I do work for large studios, so I really learned the system well. Logic is good also, but very expensive.

Why use it? I have no choice.

Gotta use it to import PT sessions so I can bounce to disk and then work in Cubase SX. I have lots of clients that bring in PT sessions. I have no choice.

PT is everywhere... which is why I bought an MBox in the first place... just to read those session files to bring them into Cubase.

Why do you hate it? I personally am the exact opposite. I absolutely hate the gui of cubase, it's ridiculous. However, you don't see me starting pointless fucking threads about it just to complain.

I realy just hate the limitations of the software and the huge difference between LE and HD. I hate the fact that they havent created an interface with at keast 8 preamps in it. So people are forced to use the lightpipe and buy another peice of gear.

I'd prefer not having 8 mediocre preamps, I'd really rather have 2 with 6 seperate inputs so I could have more of a variety. Not to mention if you really needed more than 4 you could easily get up to 12 with less than 150 bucks. I also don't find the limitations very limiting at all and I record full rock bands on a weekly basis.
