I've got the Cakewalk UA-25 EX on a Mac Pro and I'm having some difficulty recording with two mics.

On their own, both mics work perfectly. When both of them are plugged in the right hand mic recording level is really low. Turning up the sens just makes it distort.

The mics are Rode NT1As.

I'm using Sound Studio to record but have tried with Audacity and Reaper - the same issue exists. I'm assuming it should be able to power both mics properly - phantom power is on at the back.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

It sounds like you've got 2 mics connected together so they are each absorbing the output of the other. They need to go to separate inputs.

sounds like that to me as well, plug one into the left and one into the right and adjust volume as needed. and set them to mono if you want eac mic on its own track.
