I currently am using the Projectmix I/0 on 7.1 . I recently picked up a Yamaha M2000 console from a friend, and I'm trying to figure out how i can set this up. I want the first 16 channels of the console to come from my input instruments and such, and then the second 16 to be my outputs from pro tools.. so i can mix externally rather than with the project mix (of course i could still do the automation on the projectmix). I was trying to figure out how i can get more in and outputs on my system. I heard a lot about the Octane.. but I was unsure if it had outputs that i could use from pro tools. Is there a better way to do this? (my computer is a powerbook G4).
