Hey there, Im fixin to build a 20' x 25' practise room for my band, I live in a residential area so I need it to be as soundproof as possible on a limited budget. My thoughts are to build the "room in a room" type structure and I have a few questions.
What is the best material to use as insulation between the studs?
Would two foot centers be ok?
Is it necessary to stagger the studs in the opposing walls?
What is the optimum air space between the walls?
Would 5/8" sheetrock be acceptible on the three surfaces to be covered?
Whew, I know Im missing something, Im sure Ill think of it as soon as I hit submit...
