i need a power amp to amplify just normal speakers at the moment and in the future monitors (to replace loudspeakers) could some one please advise me on the situation i need one that has push clip outputs for the standard speakers but i also want it to be able to connect to studio monitors , any help will be appreciated and cheers :)

forgot to say ill be using Pod Xt Pro as pre amp so i will need a power amp that accepts 1/4" inputs

It will probably be easier in your case to put whatever connector you need onto your speaker cables to hook them to whatever amp you get, as it will be hard to find a power amp with home-stereo connectors for the speakers and 1/4" inputs. :)

hey there all i need on the bak is 2 x 1/4" jacks for my guitar (stereo) and push clip speaker outputs (to power the loudspeakers) and then i will eventually get studio monitors to replace the loudspeakers
:p

just normal speaker clips for normal speaker wire , like the kind u would hook ure hi fi up with :)

hey there thanks for the advice i think im gunna get this 1 its cheap its 300 watts an yay it has push clip outputs Thanks for the help very much appreciated :D

hey again i got an email saying of a shop saying that what im wanting to do isnt the best option can somebody please advise me as i need something that will not model the sound in anyway just amplify it as my current guitar amplifier (line 6 spider 2) is modelling the signal after it comes from the pod xt pro and its giving it a phaser like sound , thanks in advance :)

just get a regulalr 1/4 inch speaker cable, and cut one end off and use the wires to connect to your clips on the speakers. This pretty much allows you to use any amp on the market.
