Hi guys - newbie here - and this question may have been asked many times before (apologies in advance). We are a six piece party band called Mid Life Crisis based in Shrewsbury, England. We've been together about 3 years now and want to record some studio and live tracks and have about £350 to spend on something.
Is the Boss BR600 worth getting, or would we be better off with a better second-hand unit? Or is there something better in our price range. We only want tunes to premote the band, not really for multiple CD production. many thanks in advance.

£350 is really bottom of the barrel budget to start recording on. Seriously, I'd invest the £350 on studio time.

To buy a stand alone recorder you then have to buy microphones + stands + cables. My stands and cables (not including the mics) for recording just a drum kit come to over £350, add another £1000 for the mics
