I liked the ending except that it fades out. With a groove like that, I was expecting a tight ending. The vocal section right in the middle sounds a little funny. It's just my opinion, but I think the vocals are a little too dry for the track, and could use some depth.

Overall, I think the mix works. But, the hum on that one guitar is bothersome to me. It may be what you want though. I like the tune, with the hendrix type groove, but the chorus doesn't stick out enough. Maybe, if I listen again, I would have a different experience. That's about the best I can bash. I think you have something going here, overall.

Thanks

Ok I'll try to sweeten up the vocals a bit, and get rid of some of the hum on that guitar. Going to be hard on that guitar though, it was recorded live with the drums, anyone have any tips on getting rid of buzz after it was recorded?
We do have a tight ending on this I'll post it if anyone is interested

you could try a noisegate(expander)

Here's a remix, with a little less drums, more guitars and a non faded ending. The buzz on the guitar will have to stay for now until we re-record

This makes me think of Badlands. Hard-drivin' guitar rock. Love it.

James Gang

James Gang eh? Thanks, now that I listen to it again, you're right.

nice. I like the genre anyway, but very nice mix.
I am unable to criticise it.

I love it. Nice work.

I'd love to hear some clavinet wailing in there.

I like noisy guitars & guitar noise.
Has a slab of Black Crowes too.
I like it heaps - the b/vox help too.
Supercreeps clav idea is a goodun'.
Be careful being as tight as a scrotum in a cold shower might kill off some of the little swimmers this testosteroned track has - keep the groove whatever you do!

rayc review

I vote this the most fun review of 2007. Thanks, keep up the good reviews

Great groove!!!

I love the licks and fills. The vox don't seem to sit very well. I like them, I just think they need sit a little better. Maybe some overall automation? I dunno, I suck a mixing vocals though.

Great tune, I liked it alot. Fun to shake my ass to.

Vox

Yeah I agree, gonna work on the vox a bit to get them sitting better, I assume you mean the lead vox.
