pickup install: green wire?

yo,

replacing the single coils in my strat; should be easy enough. the stock pickups are a 2-wire configuration. the replacements (lace sensors) have three wires. yet the diagram that came with them only shows what to do with 2 of them. what should I do with this third wire? seems useless, except it must be coming out of there for SOME reason...

no; i dont think so. they are the regular old gold's.

Ok I get it. This diagram explains the green wire. It's to reverse coil phasing if you want to do that. Makes sense now.

hmmm...

i wonder why the sheet that came with the pickups neglected the green wire altogther. what do you think would happen if I just didn't connect it to anything? or should I ground it with the white like this diagram says...

Ground it like it says so. If it's not grounded the pickup probably won't work.
