I really want to learn the perfect take thing in cubase. what i know till now is that this feature organizes different recording takes, and then the user can select which part of the vocals he/she would like to keep and which to trash. currently what i do now is do one take, and if im not satistified with it, i would re-record the whole verse again. its pretty annoying because there are some parts i like and some i dont. i want to keep the good lines and re-record the bad lines and put them together. how can i really do this in cubase? any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

yeah just read the manual. The perfect take thing is easy to do at least in cubase LE. In the cubase help page, just type in perfect take and it'll show you how to do it. Cause it'll tell you now better than I can.

just record in cycle mode.Record multiple takes in the same track. Like say you have audio track 1 and you record on it. Well record something over it. Now you have two takes with the newest one on top. Then open the audio part editor. You can separate the audio part in each of your takes into different events by using the scissors tool. Then just drag whatever event from each take into a track. You can take pieces of each take to create one "perfect take". Understand what i'm saying? If not just do a search in help. It'll show you. ;)

Thanks a lot bro. u cleared out lots of things man....thanks

one question...by recording on top of another recorded track, wouldnt it overlap the last take? cause that was the case in cool edit pro.
