Pedals for recording with...

Currently I'm using a cheapo DOD Tec4x, to record demos of my stuff onto my multitracker. I'm bored with the sound though, and will be looking to buy something new in the coming few months.

I'm looking for a pedal or pedal board that has a nice warm but powerful and bottom heavy distortion on it...Static-X, Ministry, Prong, Fear Factory style. Ideally I'd like something that I can customise myself. I feel with the DOD I'm using now that I want more from it, and it just doesn't deliver anymore.

Forget about prices and just throw everything at me for now...cheap or expensive.

I just got a double shot distortion, and although I haven't played tons of distortion pedals, Ive played enough to know that I wont ever need another one. It has two distinct channels, both with anywhere from a tiny bit of distortion to way more than you would ever need, as well as huge output. One of the channels is a dime distortion, which would be great for all kinds of heavy stuff, and is pretty versatile. the other is a classic channel, which could get you all sorts of sounds from light distortion to a thick crunch. I won't explain too much more, but everything you need to know is on the site (jimdunlop.com) as well as a link to a review which I would completely agree with.

P.S. it costs $140 Canadian which translates to about 115 american dollars.
