Listening to "005" off the IUMA page... nice stuff... filters... percussion... voice samples... vocoders... clean sound. Reminds me of jake-owa's stuff (a member of this board).

What board did this come off of? Some type of live board, or a console? I'd be too intimidated to do mixes on the fly like this right down to master :) Good job.

Hi...welcome. Electronica's not my bag, so I'm not gonna' waste your time with any musical comments. I'll say this though...the trip to your site was worth it for the picture alone. That guy off to the left nursing the Miller Lite looks like he was a big help, eh? I kinda' pictured this caption bubble above his head as he thinks to himself:

"Man...dem's sure a buncha' wires and stuff"

I also commend you on your very logical song naming technique. :D

yeah, i could've cut that guy out. i think he's pretty funny, though. also, i'd rather not get too attached to any song names. not sure why... yes, all off a mackie 1604. leaves much more chance for error, unfortunately. the voices,etc are all real-time from radio or tape, so sometimes i don't mix them correctly. thanks for listening... j.
 
Hey man... I wouldn't normally do this without asking...and I'm KINDA' asking now. I'm gonna' post this pic in here b/c I just think it's funny, and you seem to have a sense of humor. If it pisses you off, just post that you'd rather it not be here, and i'll delete it immediately.

ha! no, that's cool... i thought the same thing myself. from what i hear, the guy w/ the beer is invlolved w/ local experimental music, and has a site of his own. haven't seen it, though... the photo is from a set i did in april '01 in the basement of a club downtown. i was set up on the floor in the middle of the room, so everyone was just checking everything out. i don't think they'd ever seen a television used live... j.
