If you're gonna be that way, Littledog, it's Rene O'connor, champion Irish step dancer, black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and Gabrielle on Xena: Warrior Princess. When she gets done dancing on your lap, I assure you, you'll be totally satisfied! Joking aside, the lap harp is a bitch to mic because it has a small voice, and you can't exactly put Harvey's 6X6' piece of plywood under it. The hard part is picking up enough bass so it doesn't sound like a music box while controlling its natural resonance. My best results have been with MC012 in front, MK319 over the right shoulder, blended with a line from a Barcus-Berry transducer mounted mid-soundboard through POD Pro, taking the line off "unprocessed guitar" out. This is an unbalanced -10dBu out, so it goes through a line level shifter to get it to +4 dBV before it hits the board. Then blend to taste.-Richie

Or maybe Vin Baker, who has been "used" by most every center and power forward in the Western Conference.
