i've seen the Rode NT1(gold anny edition) going fro $199. is this a good "recording" vocal mic? is there another in this dollar range that is better? will the Rode mic record accoustic guitars "decently" also?

anywho, it's been a while since i've checked mics out.....

whatup dawg! still surfin that bluewater highway?;)

havent had a chance to hear the new NT1 yet but im sure there are some just as good or better for less.....the old NT1 was certainly a decent mic, but these newer "low cost" mics are less harsh than the NT1.....

Marshall MXLv67G -$99
Marshall MXL2003 $149
Studio Projects B1 - $79
Studio Projects C1- $199

i use a v67 on vocals and acoustic guitar with no problemos but alot of people rather a small diaphragm condenser like the Marshall MXL 603 for acoustic guitar......

and back to vocals...with a vocal mic, its hard to pick a "better" because certain mics are suited to certain voices and sometimes you just have to audition a few.....

hope i havent confused you more.....
