Oh no, they're real. They even have a base that was completly colored with a green majic marker. They're totally tubular.

I thought the majority of mic stands were tube.....The legs are tube, then a vertical tube is attached to them, then a smaller vertical tube is placed inside that for adjustment then, if you're realy lucky, another ADJUSTABLE ANGLE tube is attached to that......Sorry for the ignorance, but what the fuck are you on about man......No offence intended....

I've got a Tube Fan that now serves as a Tube Mic Stand ever since a hairy Hungarian friend decided to rip its head off in a fit of drunken rage. Watching a +300 lb Hungarian tear fan blades away like pedals from a daisy is both scary and hysterical.
