Octava MC 319 placement?

just picked up a new Octava MC 319 with shock mount and pop filter for $140! i've read here these are fairly versital for vocals/accoustic geetar. but use them with a pop filter when doing vocals. whats the best way to angle them when singing?

up and down or straight on like a regular live vocal mike? i picked it up last night so i have been too busy to use it so far. i use a sm58 live so i'm thinking straight on like that?????

The 319 is a side address mic which means you sing into the side of the mic. Definately use a pop screen if you're working the mic up close. This is one of my favorite vocal mics.

Anybody notice that the Oktava MK 319 is also referred to as the mC 319? Is this the same mic?

Yeah, same mic... also note that the "Sound Room" has the MC's.
