No one makes what i need :(

Unfortunately, I cannot find the product i want anywhere. I am looking for a simple All in one DAW device. A 16 channel mic in, 4 channel stereo in, 8 output control surface/interface/digital mixer with firewire. Needs motorized faders and mute and arm automation. Some good built in EQ and mic pres would be excellent, with Direct outs and Inserts on every channel. Midi channels would be nice, with good controls like the mackie control surface. That little LCD screen the mackie has would be nice too. Oooh, and maybe some motorized pots for pan control....

I guess im just dreaming, but i want one, and i bet im not the only one.
 
your right i don't think anyone makes all that in one item.

dont feel bad. we all have to make compromises.

I'm still looking for a girl who likes to watch boxing, leaves me alone so I can record, likes my bad cooking, doesn't make me go see her parents, and looks like kate moss. 'tsnot gonna happen'

Sounds like a computer coupled with a mixer, and a good audio card with MIDI interface on it.
That should give you the display you want (computer screen), the 16 Channels in with 4 stereo and what not.
Maybe you can build your own! :)
 
Yeah, and while they're at it there are some other things it would be cool to be able to buy as a package deal. Like, why can't I just buy a house, car, dog, and wife all at once in one package. I waste so much time choosing a seperate house and car and dating is just a pain in the ass. It would be nice if someone took all of the difficult choices out of life and bundled everything up in a neat little box.

and Dracon, none of those units really suit me. A Digi control 24 would be perfect but im not a digi guy. Not to mention I would need a 2nd morgage to pay for it, along with a Digi HD card.

I have a package deal, but it does not include a house, and instead of a dog I would have to throw in a cat. If this is a good deal let me know. It's a little pricy but well worth the price. :D
