i recently d/l the newest delta 44 drivers for win 2000 the wdm and they dont work, i've tried all sorts of shit but it still doesnt work.

m-audio says "remove previous drives and install new" i do that and fuck all happens i dont even get a soundcard in the system!

i add the new drivers without removing the old ones it work really well for 5min and then freezes

then i trying and full uninstall the soundcard with their app and i get a lovely blue screen!

wtf is going on here i thought updates were suppose to be better

has anyone else had this problem with a delta 44 on win2000?

Are you in a position to wipe your hard drive and reload windows with the new drivers only? I went through a similar experience with an Echo card. It's a bitch, but sometimes it's the only way.

Good Luck and let us know what M-audio tells you next.

The new drivers suck

I wasn't able to get them to work either. I finally, and it was after a long exhaustive week of trying to get it to work, had to revert back to the previous drivers. I also had to re-install Sonar.

Though, I will add that M-Audio's techs are pretty helpful, but I just couldn't get the latest drivers to work. It's definitely made me weary of any future driver revs.

I love my delta 66 card, but in my experience, the M-audio programmers have done a pretty crappy job with their new drivers in the past 6 months or so. I use driver 4.1.22.27 & panel 1.01.18 . I get some popping when I open new programs, but outside of that, the drivers have been fairly reliable.

dito... not really had any problems and I suspect you may have problems more due to your mobo than the new drivers...

the Win 2k WDM drivers are better but obviously you need Win 2k for them.
