the 335s are all bent from being knocked over over the years, they slip alot from wear etc, they need replacing.
Whats the ticket guys, I am not up on this end of the stick.

Sperzel's are fine, but they are old technology, and there are much better gears on the market. If you want locking, go with the Gotoh 510 locking gears. The machining is better than anything Sperzel or Schaller have ever done, the quality of the plating is better (more consistant), and their locking mechanism is much easier to use. If you don't need locking tuners, and on a 335 you really don't, then I would suggest the regular Gotoh 510s. They are a little more expensive than Schallers, but their quality is much nicer.

Myself, I would never put anything but 510s on any guitar I build, which says something.

I don't see many examples of locking tuners for Teles (which I also use). Light, is there such a beast, and what do you recommend. You seem pretty knowledgable on this.

Sorry, anyone for that matter, of course.

Sure, any mini six on a side will work. You don't want to use them on a real vintage piece, as they will effect the value, but by vintage I mean pre-CBS guitars.

Could I put the Gotoh 510s on my LP Studio (without drilling holes)?

If not - what would be a good choice of locking tuner for the LP Studio?
I'm sick of the Gibson Deluxe tuners. They're OK - but since I've had locking Schaller tuners on my new Strat I've been hankering after getting some for the Gibson.

I like locking tuners 'cuz it makes changing strings a snap.

If it has the "Gibson" Kluson Deluxe tuners, you will have to drill new screw holes, but the shaft hole should be the same. And the new hole would probably be covered if you put on the old tuners, so whose to know, right?

The 510's would absolutely be a functional upgrade, though.
