ok so I have a problem. I bought an audio interface so I could record my guitar through it. I know what an audio interface is and what it does. However, I can't figure out for the life of me how to get this thing to work. I need someone to answer a few questions for me.
Can I record directly into the interface without using an amp or anything else, just the interface alone? Like literally just plug my guitar into the interface and that's it?
Also, my amp only has 2 plugs. One is the input, the other just says "phones"
Is the phones considers an output? Or does that mean my amp has no output? And if my amp has no output, and I have no mic, does that mean I basically can't use my audio interface?
I have a steinberg ur22. The amp is a dean amp, not sure what kind. All it has is gain, treble, bass, and mid, along with an input plug and a "phones" plug. I have the interface installed and everything, and I can connect it to all my DAWs, it's just not registering and sound coming through whatsoever. Someone help me please!!
