Need any info on my granfathers Graupner & Meyer Acoustic Guitar 1940'sh

I just rebulit my granfathers guitar, he left it for me in his will. It was broken all to hell, somehow I managed to put it back together again! It was made in philadelphia pa. by Graupner & Meyer, and has clasical head and a "pinned bridge" for the strings. The cool thing is that he played this guitar durring world war 2. I hope some one has some info on this awesome guitar!

I have to see if I can borrow a digital camera. If you want me to Treeline I will try to make that happen. The amazing thing about the guitair that it was so much damage to it, Even the base of the neck was broken. I glued it all, and it stay in tune, and sounds great! It is hard to believe that a guitar from the 1940's can sound the way it does, even after the repair!

graupner & meyer

I also own a parlor guitar that was made by graupner and meyer.
I was not able to find much info, but was told that the company
was in buisness from 1894-1906, and at it's peak had about 40 employee's
and made about 3,500 instruments a year. (mandolins and guitars)
My guitar is brazilian rosewood with a strait braced top and a pyramid
bridge. (extra light silk and steel strings are advised, as most turn of
the century guitars were braced for gut or very light steel strings.)
This is not much info but I hope it helps.

The American Fretted Musical Instrument Makers website says this company manufactured from 1891-1906+. You're not planning on selling this guitar, correct?
