I am looking for a pedal to drive a small tube amp into distorion, I was considering the MXR Micro Amp or the Seymore-Duncan pickup booster. Any comments on these or other ideas?

Hi, most any old OD pedal will do the trick for you. MXR is nice, actually an overlooked unit is Marshall Bluesbreaker II. Turn down the gain, max the volume and adjust tone accordingly...
It'll have your amp screamin' in no time...

I'm just naming a few cheap options here. There's a lot of boutique boosters out there from 200 - 300 $. Just consider what your use is.
