Name this amp part....

I am trying to figure out what the silver "tube" in the far back left of this amp cabinet is. this amp only uses 3 tubes, so I dont think that is what it is. Any ideas would be greatly appriciated. This is a Magnatone Varsity Model, from the late 40s-early 50s

looks like a capacitor to me.

marshalls have similar blue caps on the outside of the chassis as well.

Yep!

A big ol' electrolytic capacitor, probably dried out too if it's an original!

Yup, looks like a multi-section can-type capacitor.
