N-track versus Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 question.

I have a copy of Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 that I was checking out, and it seems to be all right. However, it is without a manual. I was pondering purchasing the program, which would have a manual, but I have been hearing a lot about this N-track multitracking program. I think that the cost of this program is about $60, as opposed to the much heftier price tag of the Cakewalk software. I do all of my music on a separate stand-alone sequencer (Yamaha QY700), and only used Cakewalk for recording my music, and vocals, into - then burning onto CDR's. I have done a passable job with this, but feel that it could've been better if for having a manual to help me navigate. Would N-tracks afford me the opportunity to do what I want to do, in a near top rate fashion? Your helpfulness in this matter would be deeply appreciated.

Ive toyed with Cakewalk, and it seems to be pretty cool for MIDI sequencing, but if you are doing all your sequencing on the QY700, N-Track should do u fine....I use it and it rocks...

I started using cakewalk with ver.4,the first non-dos app.I stayed with it through ver.8,paying many hundreds of dollars in upgrade fees.
It never did what I wanted. Then I found N-track.After 15 minutes using the demo I registered the program and have been happy with it ever since.

Tom,

I now have the evaluation copy on my computer, and have been toying around with it for a few minutes: not long enough to really "get busy", but long enough to give realization that the $35 registration fee should be well worth it.

N-track is ridiculously cheap. You pay for for a single plug-in!
