I took my Vox Pathfinder 15r and hooked the headphone output to an amp I assmbled from computer speakers. I cranked the gain to 10, and I recorded the results. I got some pretty interesting results, what do you guys think? I have output from a humbucker as well as a singlecoil on my Washburn. The track starts out with the single coil, then after the wipeout-esque track it moves into the humbucker, then back to the single coil.

The MP3 is on my purevolume site

the track is called "Maximum Overdrive"
Sorry for the horrible playing, this was just meant to be an exploration of tones throughout the guitar.

your right, thats.........................................................................intersting

mabye add some compression?

Im not famillar with the particular vox amp but why not just mic it? The distortion in the clips is really buzzy and has tons of extra noise. I doubt that it would sit well within a mix. There were a few parts that it sounded like you turned on a tremelo pedal. I couldn't decide if thats what was really happening or if you had a fan going in the room or something? Torwards the end it gets quieter but I could still hear it.
Whatever works for you though......

I had the trem all the way up, same with the gain and reverb. It was something I just came up with last night while fooling around. It's not inteded to be anything serious, I just thought it sounded cool.
