My recording only comes through the left speaker

Ok, now that I can record by using the direct audio input/output I now have another dilemma. When I record from my psr740 to Sonar, it's supposed to be in stereo but when I play/record it only comes through the left speaker/headphone. So how do I remedy this situation so it's in stereo L+R. I tried splitting my output on the 740 with L/L+R and R, but still the same outcome.

nevermind, I bounced the tracks and mixed down and everything sounds great now!

That's still not right. You can't monitor and mix in one channel and expect to have an accurate final product. You may even have two-channel mono instead of stereo as your final.

I don't use Sonar, but someone lse will assuredly help you.

Ok...a question.....

Are you using a stereo 1/8" adapter on your line in...
or a mono one...??
Or if it is stereo...perhaps it is broken....try a new one...OK?

how do you know if it's stereo or not? I have one that I got with one of my audio/video products but I don't know if it's stereo.

I may be wrong....but,

I think stereo ones have two lines around the pole...

I imagine that Mono have one....

Go buy a new one...in a packaged marked "stereo".... and give it a try....they are cheap...ya know?
