MXLv67 vs. MXL2001

I feel like I need to upgrade to a better mic. Been doing some research and I'm leaning towards the MXL v67 or a Studio Projects. Seems Many folks on here love the MXLv67 but hate the MXl 2001. Why so? Is it that much better of a mic? Any suggestions would be helpful also. My vocal style is a little high pitched and a tad nasally and I use XDR preamps.

I'm no mic expert, but your voice and preamp does not sound like a good match for the 2001, which is noted for a hyped and annoying high end. Perhaps the V67 would be a better choice for you, or even the Oktava 319 which is supposed to have a darker sound.
