bought a matched set a week ago to be used primarily for drum overheads.....finally used them for a session last night.....wow! I was not expecting alot but man ..theses things work excellent...low noise, great sensitivity and a small high end spike that adds a great color for heavy metal cymblas and hats....Using nice thin Paiste Signature series cymblas and stereo mxls I was floored for the price.....if you are thinking about adding these to your locker it is a sure thing....

Looking forward to hearing some of your tunez.

FYI: T-Rave is quite the wiz on the (heavy-ish) gee-tar, for those who don't know.

chess..thanks....the mxl's are nice for the dough...many complain of there brightness but the mix I go for is more "cyborg-metal" and less warmth...think real dense like Pantera, Fear Factory...with a touch of ambience......along with the top of the line thin paiste cymblas they sound very smooth......actually chess...your advice has been great for our first attempt at "real' drums......although the 'gog' is a friggin blessing;)
