MXL 603 Shock Mount dimensions?

Hi,

Anyone with the MXL-41 shock mounts that are used with the MXL 603s....Can you please post the diameter of the 603 mic or the diameter of the opening in the shock mount? I am debating buying a pair of the mounts for use with another mic and need to know if the size is compatible. Thanks in advance to whoever has the time to assist me.

The 603's diameter is;

Fractionally greater than 7/8" (by about 3 pubic hairs)

OR

22.3mm (give or take a couple of microns).

There's a lot of play with the shockmount because it uses a padded clamp. I've used it on an SM 57 without any difficulty at all. It's a nice shockmount.

I'm using Tensimount shock mounts with my 603s. They work great for me - and were nice and cheap ($12.95). They would work with the 603s and with many other microphones.
