I’ve heard legends of him discarding his mic and just singing into the air, and the power of his voice would fill the hall.

Never believed it to be possible. But then I heard it. Saw him in a smallish club in Reseda California called “The Country Club”
Keep in mind it was only about 500 seats or so. But Damn!

He did it, threw down the mic and started singing.
I went all the way to the back of the club and heard him clear as day.
Guy certainly had a voice!

I've heard that about him. What an incredible talent SM was! Left us some GREAT music. I would seriously consider giving up my left nut to sing like that. Some people just have it - and he had it. In droves.

Just the combination of Steve’s Raw almost punkish playing combined with Peter’s fluid style was magical.
