Motu 896 with ADAT

I'm having trouble sending an adat signal directly from the motu into an adat. I wonder whether this is actually a toslink out from the motu.

I also tried using the aes/ebu out and convert it to adat using a fostex converter but that didn't help either.

any suggestions?
