i currently use v-amp pro, im about to upgrade to the podxt i havent spend anough time wi5th the podxt to make sure quaility wise that the xt is actually better than the v-amp.you guys have any input?
Its better in terms of more features. As far as sound quality goes, only you can make that decision. I'm happy with mine.......though it sounds nothing like a real amp to me. (then again, neither do most guitar tracks on albums)
The Pod XT distortions all sound too much alike. It's almost like they used the same distortion and just changed the EQ curves to make them sound a little different. They also have a buzzy distortion "pedal" type of sound which may or may not be good depending on the type of music that you are playing. The V-Amp Pro has a wider range of distortion tones that sound very different from each other. It is also much easier to dial in a good sound with the V-Amp. Both of these units are decent so which one that you prefer will depend on the style of music that you play.
