mixing>stereo compression> cd burner

When my mix is all set and ready to burn, (my signal goes) tape out from my mixer into a compressor then cd burner.
Then i started thinkin what if i send my mix to my stereo l/r buss then to the comp then to the cd burner..????
Is their any pros or cons to doing this ??? how do you guys do it???
tape outs or l/r buss outs????

The only con is that ill have to add another 2 insert points on my patch bay. And ive been only buying monster cable, and there is no way i can afford this right know.

The only advantage to the Master buss is the fader if you need a little extra gain. But you are possibly introducing extra noise.

On many cheap mixers the tape outs and Alt Busses are a little cleaner than the master buss so there probably isnt any real reason to change. But try it and see if you notice any differences.
