I've recently purchased n-Track and am in the process of learning it. Until my studio is complete, I'd love to be able to continue experimenting and learning n-Track.

Since I don't have any music recorded yet, I'm unable to do a whole lot as far as mixing goes

Does anyone know where I might be able to find an entire song in separate .WAV files for each track, so I can import them into n-Track and "practice" mixing?

Thanks!

Hello your Darkness:
You can take a song off of a CD of yours, "Rip" it from the Cd, and convert it to a .wav file.
A good program to use to do this is cdex, but there are many out there.
These programs are called "Cd Rippers", and this will work for you.

A song off a CD is one entire song. I'm looking for 8-10 individual tracks (i.e., guitar, bass, kick, snare, cymbs, hats, toms, vox, etc) to put together into one song. This would help to practice and learn the software.

That would be more difficult to find.
I can send you some tracks like that from my recordings, if you'd like.
Let me know!

Dougie:

Would love some tracks if you are offering. It would be a great way to practice using the software. Please send to elesser@ga.prestige.net

Thanks!

Okay, Your Darkness:

I am at work now, but I will send a few trax your way when I get in tonight!

Ok...Let's Get It Started!

Mr Darkman:

I am going to post these wave files to my on-line storge area.
I use www.idrive.com
My user name is DouglyJohnson.
You will be able to access & download these files.

Keep in mind that they are there as mp3 files, and that after you download them, you will have to convert them to .wav files
I suggest using this tool to do it: http://www.din.or.jp/~ch3/index_e.html
It's a great decoder.

Then have a go at it!
These are rough demo practices, so don't judge me on them!

Enjoy your journey.
