Hello!
I bought recently a new mixer (alto l-12) and noticed that the channels bleed to my main mix.. in some channels only left or right "part" bleeds while in others its the both. Even if i have set the levels all way down in a channel, and have muted it, still i can hear the sound bleeding to my main mix (main mix level 0dB) (now, it's not a loud sound but i can definately hear the bleed) However, i don't know alot about analog mixers so I'm asking if this is normal with new analog mixers?

Not so much new, but cheap. Yeah, it can happen a lot with cheap mixers.

huh

Than you very much for your reply!

Hmm I see... but is this regarded as "normal" ? I mean, is the mixer "broken", will I get a new/repaired mixer by warranty or is this a thing that must just be lived with ?

Normal as in a regular occurrance, yes.

Normal as a "My mixer has crosstalk, take it back guitar center scumbag..." they'd better.

I think that's a defect. I wouldn't accept it. The problem is that the quality control on the cheaper products isn't as good, and the components are sometimes inferior. I would exchange it, and if you are still not happy, upgrade.

I would recomend one of the Yamaha MG series mixers for a quality mixer at an inexpensive price.

Most mixers have some amount of crosstalk. The better the quality the lower the level.

Very quiet mixers and a lot of features for the price. I must also say that the pre's on this thing are not bad at all.

By the way it is good to see you are still alive Tex...
