Hello.

I have a pair of active m-audio dx4 monitors. On the back there is a "mid-cut" switch, with positions for "In" and "Out." I was wondering what each setting does, how it changes the sound and what anyone can recommend the settings be. I find these monitors to be lacking in the highs (e.g. brightness of guitars). Any help would be great.

Thanks!

I don't want to swoop in like Captain Obvious, but why don't you flip the switch and listen to it?

I would imagine if it's labeled "Mid Cut" then it's going to cut the mids somewhere.
