Microphone pre amps

Iam using a mackie 24x8 bus console with built in pre amps on each channel. i just bought a berringer B 1 do i still need to use a in line preamp with this mic

Shouldn't need to..

Unless you own a better pre then the Mackie pres. I'm not familiar with the Behringer B1, but you may need phantom power.
