sup people I hope yall can help me out.

my problem is I have a RODE NT1 microphone and a standard mixing desk a BEHRINGER EURORACK MX802A it has phantom power to power the mic. it seems to work fine I have been trying to record to my computer via a creative standard soundcard with the mixing desk hooked upto it via the mic port and the quality is total wackness. I then looked on the web and it says do not user the mic port to record so I have just ordered a ST AUDIO DSP24V soundcard to hook up my mixer to I haven’t received it yet but I got some questions. (Will this bring my quality upto a superb level?) (what cables do I need to connect this card upto my mixer?) (how am I supposed to spit into the mic to make that quality better?) can anyone help me please.

I have included pics/info of these products.

From the spec sheets, it looks like you'll need two sets of stereo cables with RCA phono plugs at each end.

The "main" RCA outputs of the mixer plug into the sound card's RCA inputs.

The 2 RCA "outputs" of the soundcard plugs into the RCA tape inputs on your mixer.

Even if you just connected the 802 to the Sound Blaster's Line Input, instead of Mic Input, the difference would be night and day.
