Okay lemme try this again. :p

I heard Beeze's wonderful recording of his kids singing Christmas songs, so I just had to do one of my own. So thanks for the inspiration Beeze and family. :)

So, here's me and my slightly timing-challenged but wonderful little girls doing "Jingle Bells". :D

Thanks a lot, but fuck no on the snow. I hate cold. It's like 55 down here today. I'm freezing my balls off. :D

Lol. It's easy to harmonize when everyone is out of key and time. :D

Thanks Ido.

Wouldn't change anything. :) Very nicely done. The kid voice are so precious. Also the solo was pretty jammin'. The bass is sounds really cool. Them drums kick stuff.

Thanks. Yeah I played everything.

Very cool. Not only is it musically appropriate, but a truly unique family heirloom to have. In 30 years, your grandchildren are going to be diggin this.

This is great. Lots o' fun!!! :)

The girls aren't timing-challenged at all. You just need to get into their rhythm. :p

Cheers,

Thats awesome!! You did an excellent job, particularly on the drums. Very FAT and airy sounding. Chain?
Thanks. Mapex Pro-M > Cad-Pro mics > Firepod > Reaper

Nice!
Nice recordings by the way.
Mix could do with some low end and some more low mids. The high end and high mids are nice but the mix needs more lows and low mids to back them up.

ok, how about in the box? Help me out here.. I've used about the same level of equipment and still can't get it sounding that good.:D

I don't really know what else to tell you. My setup is pretty basic. I pay very close attention to tuning and mic placement. I might test record snare whacks 20 or 30 times with the mic in different spots. I try to place the mics so I need as little EQ help as possible. This song was 4 mics - kick, snare, and 2 O/H's in the recorderman configuration. Scooped a little out of the kick from around 200-500, gently boosted the crack in the snare around 4k, and left the O/H's alone. Put a mild small-room ambience reverb on it and that was it.

Awesome, man!!!
